Ledovec held its first Czech International Conference on Recovery in Plzeň in 2016.

"This is why we called our event, "Second Czech International Conference on Recovery" at the beginning. However, later we used a more convenient name 'Recovery2020' www.recovery2020.cz" said Martin.

Recovery2020 took place at the Creative Hub in Pilsen called DEPO2015 www.depo2015.eu from 11th to 12th February 2020, attended by more than 400 participants consisting of both experts by experience and experts by theory from all Europe. This conference was held under the auspices of the Mayor of the City of Pilsen Mr. Martin Baxa and Head of the Psychiatric Clinic, University Hospital Pilsen Mr. Jan Vevera.

It was a special "3-in-1" event: the conference was part of the meeting of European Community based Mental Health Service Providers (EUCOMS) Network (www.eucoms.net). And all this was wrapped in one week training seminar of the ERASMUS+ project called New Learning and Teaching in Mental Health. Main topic of all three events was recovery.

Thanks to Dirk's generosity, Ledovec borrowed the title "Recovery Capital" from Nei Skoen for those two days of the conference. And Thanks to visitors from Recovery Republic https://recoveryrepublic.co.uk/ all participants were offered to become citizens of Recovery Republic at the conference.

Mark Ragins, Key Speaker of the First Czech International Conference on Recovery sent us short greeting.

The Blue Horse Marco, symbol of deinstitutionalisation of the Mental Hospital in Trieste sent us his '(grand)son' to the conference! A 4-meters tall blue horse was the first thing everyone sees at the conference registration point. There were two main topics of the conference: the relationship of recovery and language and the relationship of recovery and institution.

Almost all the speeches and workshops had been recorded. They will be gradually published at www.zotaveni.cz (zotavení = recovery in Czech) and later also at www.Teach2Heal.eu.
