I’m working as a family therapist and psychiatric nurse in a mental health organisation in the Netherlands with children and adolescents with a mental disorder and their families.
An important part of my work is to help the children and their families to regain their power by creating a dialogical space. The dialogue supports them to understand themselves and each other, to connect them with important others and to enlarge their resilience. In other words, this supports their recovery process. Also I am a trainer and coach at the Rino Group in Utrecht. I train mental health professionals in the CARe approach in the Netherlands and Belgium.
