A new look at children from the world’s richest countries offers a mixed picture of their health, skills and happiness. For far too many, issues such as poverty, exclusion and pollution threaten their mental well-being, physical health and opportunities to develop skills. Even countries with good social, economic and environmental conditions are a long way from meeting the targets set in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Focused and accelerated action is needed if these goals are to be met. The evidence from 41 OECD and EU countries tells its own story and reveals children’s experiences against the backdrop of their country’s policies and social, educational, economic and environmental contexts.

WHO, October 2020
This report of a survey completed by 130 countries during the period June-August 2020 provides information about the extent of disruption to mental, neurological and substance use services due to COVID-19, the types of services that have been disrupted, and how countries are adapting to overcome these challenges. An interesting key finding ; 89% of the countries have included mental health and psychosocial support in their national COVID-19 response plan but only 17% of the lower income countries and 26% of the upper income countries have assured funding for these activities
New Deinstitutionalise Program New DI program was approved although with very stringent funds, therefore only 3 people will be DI-ed, but funds are provided to cover the costs.
