The adoption of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities on December the 13th, 2006 during the General Assembly of the United Nations leads to efforts to enforce social inclusion in practice, in such a way that people with disabilities are able to participate equally in social life. Currently, the UNCRPD has been ratified by 174 nations around the world. Ratification requires governments to design or adjust laws and regulations in accordance with the content of the UN Convention. Read more on how to join the e-Course
