Mental Health Europe recently launched a new resource to help people who come in contact with the mental health system, either as service users or indirectly as friends, family of users to be able to be active participants in their care. It gives an overview of practices of coercion and restraint, alternatives to the use of coercion and restraint, how to integrate the users voice in care and what is needed for reducing or eliminating coercion and restraint.
